Something stinky and green is coming to Derby Theatre this week, 17th-20th September!
From the super-talented team that brought you Phantom of the Opera, Nativity and Joseph comes Derby Youth Musical Theatre’s latest comedy extravaganza, SHREK!
Shrek’s peaceful swamp-dwelling life is rudely interrupted by a rabble of unruly fairy-tale creatures who descend onto his land after being banished by the evil Lord Farquaad.
To regain his peace, Shrek makes a deal to rescue the Princess Fiona and deliver her to marry Farquaad and live in the dystopian land of Duloc.
But of course his journey’s not quite that simple…. He certainly won’t be alone… or have any peace along the way!
Opening on September 17th, DYMT is proud to bring you…. farting ogres, tap dancing rats, singing mice, a talking donkey, a lovestruck fire-breathing dragon and a vertically challenged megalomaniac, alongside a hilarious plot and uproarious musical numbers that will keep the whole family entertained!
