The Melton Musical Theatre Company is proud to present the coconut-clopping, toe-tapping, vache-throwing (that’s cow… yes, cow) musical extravaganza… Spamalot: The Musical! 

Lovingly ripped off from the motion picture ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’, Spamalot is a parody musical packed full of bonkers Python humour and all the glitz and glam of a broadway show…

The year is 932AD and the kingdom of England is divided. The noble King Arthur and his loyal servant Patsy set out on a quest to recruit a brave brotherhood of knights to sit at his very, very, very round table (note, table might not actually be round.)

With a helping hand from the Lady of the Lake (a beautiful, watery witch) and her Laker Girls, the knights are ready to party in Camelot! After revelling in their glory, God crashes the party and instructs the men to search for the holy grail.

Joining King Arthur on the quest for the grail are Sir Galahad (The Pure), Sir Bedevere (The Brains), Sir Robin (The-not-as-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot), and Sir Lancelot (he’s hot).

Our knights face various foes and challenges along the way, like the mysterious knights who say Ni and the Knight with nothing more than a flesh wound… You will not want to miss the chaos and splendour of this hilarious show.

With Jennifer Butlin’s direction, Lisa Mills’ musical direction, and choreography by Dawn Partridge and Katherine Vernon, these very talented creatives are bound to produce a fun-filled musical comedy that celebrates the absurd and witty storytelling of Monty Python.
