The naughtiest puppets in town are set to take over Leicestershire this Summer as Your Chance Productions and Aurora Puppet Theatre bring the Tony Award-Winning and West End smash hit comedy musical Avenue Q to the MMC Venue, Mountsorrel on 25 to 29 June 2024.
The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighbourhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
Not suitable for little monsters and with an age rating of 14+, the show features iconically hilarious songs including If You Were Gay, The Internet is for Porn, and Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist; Avenue Q is the perfectly hilarious show.

Avenue Q has music and lyrics co-written by multi-Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and Oscar Award-winner Robert Lopez andTony Award-winner Jeff Marx, with Lopez having also co-created The Book of Mormon, and co-written the music and lyrics for Disney’s megahits Frozen and Frozen II with his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The book is by Jeff Whitty. Orchestrations and arrangements are by Stephen Oremus, and the puppets featured are from the professional touring production designed by Paul Jomain at Q Puppets (www.Qpuppets.co.uk). Avenue Q has not been authorized or approved by the Jim Henson Company or Sesame Workshop, which have no responsibility for its content. The hysterical Avenue Q will be at the MMC Venue, Mountsorrel from Tuesday 25 to Saturday 29 June 2024. Tickets are only £16 or £14 for concessions. Please note that this show has an age rating of 14+.
