Hi Lace Market Theatre,

I’m getting in touch on behalf of Nottingham Shakespeare Company as we’re about to hold auditions for our next production, and are hoping you could promote this to your members and supporters who may be interested in performing with us.Our winter production will be Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, performing in late January and February 2023 (dates & venues TBC).

We’re holding open auditions on Tues 25 & Thurs 27 October, from 7pm at the Embankment pub (near the Trent Bridge). If you’re not already aware of us, we’re a local amateur theatre company whose aim is to bring Shakespeare to all. Our practices are based on original practice – performing as an ensemble in different settings with minimal practical staging, as actors in Shakespeare’s time would have done.

We have performed successful and popular open air summer productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2019), Twelfth Night (2021) and most recently The Comedy of Errors (2022).  The Winter’s Tale will be our first winter production, performing at indoor venues.
