Nottingham Playhouse awarded £789,011 as part of Gov Cultural Recovery Fund.

We are delighted to say that Nottingham Playhouse has been awarded £789,011 as part of the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund, to help us face the ongoing challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Our Chief Executive, Stephanie Sirr, has said: “We are extremely thankful to have been awarded what we requested from the Culture Recovery Fund which will see the Playhouse through to March 2021. It means we face the future with a great deal more confidence. We would like to thank everybody for their support of the Playhouse at this critical time.”

Support from the Culture Recovery Fund will help us to partially reopen for our Unlocked festival later this month and newly announced panto Cinderella, and to continue with our vital participation activity. The funding will also enable us to consult, restructure and reimagine what our communities’ need, as well as becoming more financially resilient during the ongoing pandemic.
