We are immensely proud of the successes we achieve from our theatre promotions and our reviewing and status in the region as high quality reviewers. In December 2018 and Jan 2019 we were blown away by the press attention shown our reviews for the Christmas shows we visited and here is a visual round up of the posters on which East Midlands Theatre were proudly placed.
Phil Lowe and Kathryn McAuley.
Two mentions on the Nottingham Playhouse Robin Hood and The Babes In The Wood poster. One for EMT and another for The Nottingham Post both written by Phil Lowe.
Haymarket Theatre Leicester opened its doors anew after eleven years in darkness and we loved their family friendly meta production of Treasure Island. Review by Phil Lowe.
Our reviewer Kathryn McAuley popped over to Derby Theatre and was very impressed with Sarah Brigham’s Christmas show Hansel and Gretel. Her review was featured on the theatre’s flyer and in the foyer.
Curve’s White Christmas directed by Nikolai Foster with choreography by Stephen Mear was so well loved by Kathryn McAuley that both she and myself Phil Lowe, went to see it twice! And we got mentioned three times on their online posters!
At Nottingham Theatre Royal Peter Pan was flying high and a real treat for the entire family. Review by Phil Lowe.
Many of the theatres mentioned also used quotes on promotional videos, often intermixed with audience responses. Curve Theatre made a fab promotion video for The Cat In The Hat which includes Kathryn McAuley’s 4.5 star review.
Big thanks to all the theatres for your support in this manner and we look forward to a great year reviewing and promoting in 2019.
