Early July I was invited over to the Grand Theatre Wolverhampton by Theatre Royal Nottingham and Nottingham Post to interview the Director of The National Theatre – Rufus Norris about his 2019 touring production of Macbeth. What an honour!
We also have an Instagram account now under the name @eastmidlandstheatre. Do check it out and ‘love’ our pictures. It is a private account but just request to befriend us through the Instagram system.

Hi, did you know that for the last 21 years The Stephen Sondheim Society has been based in Nottingham with me as The Administrator?
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve tried to get the Playhouse to do some Sondheim!

Thank you for a lovely review of A Touch of Danger, at the Theatre Royal this week. Wondering about your comment on the use of the period phone though!
Ah yes. On two or three occasions there appeared to be only two or three circulations of numbers dialled rather than the total dialling code and personal number. It may have been theatrical licence and the need for dramatic speed but just a couple of twirls of the dialling ring looked odd to my ancient eyes. Glad you liked the review. Maybe next time Dial M For Murder would be a good choice. 😂
